Rockford's newest baseball team, the Rockford Rivets, beat the Kenosha Kingfish Friday night in exciting fashion 15-14 in ten innings. The Rivets jumped to an early lead, at one time leading the Kingfish 14-3. The Kingfish fought back, steadily scoring runs, scoring two more runs in the ninth inning to tie the game at 14-14. Almost four hours into the game, a 10th inning single drove in the winning run for the Rivets.
I was at this game. It was fun and I encourage you to take your friends and family to a Rivet's baseball game.
